Bloat Of Vegas

With no plans to leave Vegas, we tried to settle in. We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving by going to an outlet mall to get new walking shoes for Jamie, ending the day with barbeque pork chops and Betty Crocker Double Chocolate Brownie Mug Treats. Not at all a traditional day of thanks, but Mug Treats in the microwave were memorable!

Race Day

Before we had our daughter, who is now 25, Sundays were spent at home tuned to the distinct sound of stock cars circling a track. That’s when I caught up on my chores, and Jamie watched NASCAR on TV. We always joked that Sundays were spent at the Church of NASCAR.

A Quiet Place

While we weighed the pros and cons of lake life, we went for lots of walks and found that if we continued down to the end of Santa Fe Street (where our RV park was situated), walked through the construction zone, and down the bike path along the Interstate, we could walk to a quieter neighbourhood in La Jolla Colony.
